Stockport Stocktoberfest Sunday 30th September 11-4pm
We have a weekend off this weekend so it’s the normal humdrum mixture of Housework, Replacing a bulb on the car and shopping. A few relaxing drinks and Bill’s famous Paella on Saturday night to make the most of it. After that the Markets / Crafts shows and Christmas Fairs go into full swing.
One of the new dates into our Calender this year and along with the Artisan Market Circuit we are on is “Stockport Stocktoberfest”. First time this event has been organised and is running from the Saturday the 29th til Sunday the 30th.
The Market will be running alongside the Event on Sunday 30th which we will be attending. (Bill is very excited a Day working the Market with an abundance of Beer, Betty is slightly concerned
)
The Dairy of events for the 2 days of the Event which is being held on the Historic Market Area in Stockport, Gr. Manchester are as follows
” Stocktoberfest Stockport’s first ever German beer festival – They will be transforming the hall into a German Beer Hall, complete with 50 different German beers, bratwurst, pretzels and of course a little bit of Oom Pah Pah!
Advance tickets £10 per session can be exchanged for a Stein Glass and 2 beers on arrival. Tickets are available from High Peak Beer Co, in the Market Hall and from Stockport Tourist Information centre, Staircase House, 30 Market Place. email tickets@stocktoberfest.co.uk.
Session 1 Saturday 29th September, 7pm to midnight. German themed fancy dress competition (strictly no military uniforms), lots of prizes to be won.
Session 2 Sunday 30th September, 11am to 4pm. Family day with children’s entertainers and the Artisan Market (Artisan Food & Drink, Art and Craft market).
Session 3 Sunday 30th September, 6pm to 11pm. Big German Quiz – more prizes to be won.
