We have a pooch, BEN a Cavalier King Charles hes a full on member of the family to the point where I’m sure he thinks hes our 3rd child (Behind 2 daughters).

Ben owns the house he just lets us live there, furniture is his personal sleeping space. He lives for food and we have to be so careful – he has the ability to turn into Indiania Jones and scale kitchen cupboards swing from lamp shades and avoid the shooting arrows to grab anything while we are not looking. They say Chocolate is bad for dogs our pooch doesn’t seem to understand this even after we have explained this many times to him.

Which brings me to this little Gem that I found on Facebook this morning. It is so what its like in our house and I love how in the picture the dog seems to know exactly what he’s doing which I feel I can relate to.

And just so you know who i’m writing about.

Stockport Stocktoberfest Sunday 30th September 11-4pm

We have a weekend off this weekend so it’s the normal humdrum mixture of Housework, Replacing a bulb on the car and shopping. A few relaxing drinks and Bill’s famous Paella on Saturday night to make the most of it. After that the Markets / Crafts shows and Christmas Fairs go into full swing.

One of the new dates into our Calender this year and along with the Artisan Market Circuit we are on is “Stockport Stocktoberfest”. First time this event has been organised and is running from the Saturday the 29th til Sunday the 30th.

The Market will be running alongside the Event on Sunday 30th which we will be attending. (Bill is very excited a Day working the Market with an abundance of Beer, Betty is slightly concerned )

The Dairy of events for the 2 days of the Event which is being held on the Historic Market Area in Stockport, Gr. Manchester are as follows

” Stocktoberfest Stockport’s first ever German beer festival – They will be transforming the hall into a German Beer Hall, complete with 50 different German beers, bratwurst, pretzels and of course a little bit of Oom Pah Pah!

Advance tickets £10 per session can be exchanged for a Stein Glass and 2 beers on arrival. Tickets are available from High Peak Beer Co, in the Market Hall and from Stockport Tourist Information centre, Staircase House, 30 Market Place. email tickets@stocktoberfest.co.uk.

Session 1 Saturday 29th September, 7pm to midnight. German themed fancy dress competition (strictly no military uniforms), lots of prizes to be won.

Sparkly HandMade Greeting Cards

When we are out on Market Circuits, Fairs and Crafts shows we are normally partnered with our goods friends from Eggbert and Daisy- Sparkly British Handmade Greeting Cards.

They Produce a collection of beautiful handmade greetings cards, for design-led card and gift shops. All of there products are designed, printed and finished by hand in the UK, using a selection of gorgeous boards, finest crystals and a sprinkling of extra sparkle.

As well as normally being perched next or behind us at the Wilmslow and Middlewich Artisan Markets sharing a cup of tea on cold days their card range really compliments our own gift range with customers buying that special present with a card. Sometimes our stalls seem to merge into that 1 sale.

Artisan Market Wilmslow Up for National Award

We are involved in an Artisan Market Wilmslow where we sell our Brilliantly British Range. This particular market in Wilmslow, Cheshire started over a year ago and we have been involved since its inception.

It runs once a month down the high street and I think there are now close to 140 traders. Its a fantastic day and we have become good friends with lots of the other traders.

Never thought in my life I would be getting up at 6 am on a Saturday to go and work on a market and over the last year we’ve seen every type of weather there is. In fact when the sun is shining at 7am on a crisp Saturday morning I feel all wrong – I’m so used to trying to set up a Gazebo in a HURRICANE with it raining so hard its coming back up at me I’ve become almost good at it.

Anyway – The Artisan Market Wilmslow has gone from strength to strenght and is winning all sorts of awards and is being asked to venture further a field to others towns looking to rejuvenate there high streets.

Fragrance Never Sounded So Good

Candles are so popular these days, Theres also so much choice. Yankee Candles marketing idea seemed to be swamp the market I would be surprised if we started seeing vending machines in toilets selling them soon, To me this kinda cheapens the product somehow its no longer something new or unusual.

We love how Virginia Candle have never gone down this marketing route with Woodwick and there new brand RibbonWick. It helps to keep the product exclusive New and Stylish. It remains a talking point when people see them and also helps to keep the products in demand.
